International CES is a great place to see and try plenty
of new tech. We saw a number of impressive advancements (Toyota FCV! The LG
Flexible OLED TV!). But you know us; we’re most excited by leaps forward in
portable power. And if it uses solar technology, even better. Naturally, we
were interested in learning more about Goal Zero’s Street Charge.
In the summer of 2013, Goal Zero partnered with AT&T
to install a series of solar powered charging stations in various parts of New
York City. The stations are equipped with solar panels on top to store massive
amounts of power that can be used to charge phones.
What about the rest of the time we’re at our home base in
Colorado, though? Or just not in that part of NYC? Or we don’t want to stand
outside in the cold to use solar power (hello, polar vortex)? That’s what our
very own DUO-Flex is for. It’s a pair of flexible solar panels and a battery
pack for portable power. Charge it from the Sun at home or on the go. The
DUO-Flex is perfect for setting out on car dashboards. Then slide the fully
charged battery into your bag or coat pocket and take it wherever you want – even
NYC.
With the freedom to go anywhere with the DUO-Flex, you
don’t need to worry about running out of power no matter where you are in the
world.
